General Usage Guidelines
- The church is a non-smoking facility. Beer, wine, and champagne allowed. Hard liquor by permission only.
- Fifty percent of the fee is necessary to reserve the date. Remainder due two weeks prior to event.
Terms and Conditions
- These terms and conditions are fundamental to the space license agreement between the individual named in the space license agreement (the User) and the Church of the Holy Apostles (the Church) and any violation hereof shall result in cancellation of the agreement or limitation of User's rights thereunder at the Church's discretion.
- User assumes total responsibility for any damage to or loss of Church property that might occur.
- User accepts full liability for personal injury, damage, or lost property.
A non-refundable deposit of one-half the total fee is required at the time of signing this agreement. Dates are tentatively reserved until full payment is received. The remainder of the fee is due two weeks prior to the event.
Certificate of insurance required 24-48 hours prior to the event. If the event will include a cash bar, a one-day liquor license is also required.
- Smoking, smoke machines, using flames or fire producing devices, including candles, pyrotechnics of any kind, fireworks, propane, and helium balloons, are prohibited. It is the User's responsibility to ensure no smoking occurs.
- Taping items to the building's walls and columns is not permitted.
- If User is providing their own food, User is responsible for appropriate clean up, including placing all garbage in trash receptacles at the close of the event. (DO WE WANT TO ADD A NOTE ABOUT THE SECURITY DEPOST NOT BEING REFUNDED IF THERE IS DAMAGE OR INCOMPLETE CLEANUP?)
- Nothing herein shall be construed as creating a landlord relationship between the Church and User. The rights hereunder are a license only, and no real property rights are being conveyed.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation: canceling anytime up to 30 days prior to your event – full refund
- Late Cancellation: canceling 30 days up to 7 days before your event – 50% refund
- No Show: canceling with less than 7 days before your event or not showing up for your event – non-refundable
- Any cancellation by the renter must be received in writing in the Special Events office. (Email is fine)
- Events that are canceled "day of" due to inclement weather will not be charged a late cancellation fee as long as the group representative contacts our offices at least 4 hours prior to their scheduled event start time to notify us of the weather-related cancellation.
- Church of the Holy Apostles' obligation to make the facility available will be relieved if anything outside of its control prevents the facility from being available at the date and time scheduled for the event. This includes such occurrences as natural disaster, fire, destruction, war, governmental order, quarantine and administrative evacuation (i.e. bomb threats) or other forces or events outside of Church of the Holy Apostles control. If such occurs, Church of the Holy Apostles will refund the renter's deposit and fee already paid in full but will have no other liability due to such cancellation or unavailability of the use of its facility.
